Users who are modify permitted can edit facts. Changes are saved in a new version (see chapter "Version control system").

In order to edit content, proceed as follows:

(1) Log in.

(2) Now, you have two possibilities:

(a) Open the folder where the fact you want to edit is located.
      Highlight the fact by clicking in the checkbox on the right side.

(b) Open the fact you want to edit in the main window.

(3) Depending on which option you chose in step 2, proceed as follows:

(a) Click on "edit" at the bottom of the list.

(b) Click on "edit" in the options area (left column).

(4) Enter the changes in the Input mask.

(5) Click on "next >>".

(6) Choose the permissions.

(7) Click on the "Preview" button to check your input.

After you have published your changes, the updated version is placed over the initial one. It receives a higher version number (eg."102095.2" instead of "102095.1").

How to link old versions: If a fact has been updated, it is still possible to refer to old versions. When you create a link you can decide if you want to refer to a certain version or always to the most recent one (see chapter "Create links").

The content service Downloads offers the possibility to store files that have been created with another user application. If you want to upload a new, updated version of the file, proceed as follows:

(1) Open the existing fact containing the file in the main window.

(2) Click on the file link with the right mouse button.

(3) Click on "Save target as".

(4) Save the file on the hard drive of your computer.

(5) Edit the file on your computer and save the changes on your hard drive.

(6) Return to the platform, and click on "edit" in the options area (left column).

(7) Insert the updated file in the field File data of the input mask.

(8) Click on "next >>".

(9) Choose the permissions.

(10) Click on the "Preview" button to check your input.
