In general
Every created fact on the platform will be
automatically assigned an infoID by the system. The infoID of each
fact is displayed in the Info-box in the Left column - list of boxes and on the bottom of each fact in the Meta information of the facts.
The infoID is a combination of two parts:
Main Number: |
One sequential, automatically created number combination.
|
Version Number:
|
This results from editing new versions of a document. In order to be
able to distinguish between these versions, a version number is always
attached after the main number. Details about versions see -> Information About Versions
The main number of the infoID is constant. The version number is used on the platform in two further modified forms:
102070-edit: "-edit" instead of the version number, this indicates that the document being worked on has not been published yet.
102070.0: If you always want to reference to the most recent
version, type 0 at the end of the infoID in place of the version
number (see -> References). Users will automatically be directed to
the most current version for which they are read-permitted. What does
this mean? If versions of a fact have different read permissions,
different users may be presented with different versions as the
most current one according to the read permissions.

Opening fact versions directly
With the help of the infoID you can directly open each fact in your browser:
References (=Links)
Of practical importance the infoID is particularly useful for reference purposes (see -> References).
