multiple group assignment of users

The assignment of users to groups can get difficult via the standard interface "editing groups". For this reason, there is an alternative interface called "all groups and users". This interface offers an overview of all available groups and users on your platform. However, a large number of groups or users makes this interface difficult to handle too. For delicate adaptions and for checking existing group assignment, we recommend the interface "editing groups".

|1| Choose "Groups & Users" from the main menu by clicking on it.

|2| In the row "All groups and users", click on the modify-button.

|3| Now you see a table of all groups and users on your platform. The following auxiliary information helps you to choose the correct checkboxes:

  • If there are more than eight groups, the column with the usernames is repeated.
  • If you point at a checkbox, an information field is displayed. The information field shows you which user you would assign to which group with this checkbox.

|4| Click on the necessary checkboxes.

|5| Click on the button "save changes" at the bottom of the page.

|6| You will see a confirmation page with your specifications.
the specifications are correct: Click on "save changes" again in order to submit your changes.
the specifications are incorrect: Click on "cancel". The table will be reloaded and you have to choose all checkboxes again.
